Poker is a game of taking risks. Winning and losing are two sides of the coin called poker. That’s why you must always be prepared for both of these two situations so that you learn how to handle them both.

Though winning can be tricky too, it is even more dangerous when it comes to losing. First of all, what you must know is that the key to succeed at poker is to know how to handle your victories and loses.  When you are losing money at poker, the last thing you can lose is your calm.

Try to relax and think about ways of making things better in the next rounds. Transform the previous loses into victories. Don’t get caught on tilt: this is the worst of disasters – allowing yourself to be influenced by your previous hands.

Keep your ability of making rational decisions, do not let your emotions take control over you and, most importantly, be patient – your money will come back to you if you play your cards right.
Another important thing not to do when losing is starting to bet aggressively and especially bluffing in order to quickly win the money you lost. Most probably you won’t manage to do anything but losing even greater amounts of money. So when it comes to playing poker, you must always measure your steps and realize when it’s for the best to continue or to quit.
