Action – to act. If a player doesn’t realize it’s his turn, the dealer will tell "you turn".

Ante – a small part of a bet, a fraction of a bet. In general, holdem game has no ante, as it uses the blind.
All-In – The action of a player that bets all his available chips on a hand.
Buying - bluffing. "Buying the pot" means making the other players not to bet, this way winning the pot.
Avatar – term used in online poker, being a representative image of a player.
Away from table – participating to each hand, posting the blinds but folding before a betting round.
Bad Beat - "sinful" bet. Losing with a favorite hand for winning the pot at some point in the game.
Bet the pot – term used in pot limit tournaments. Betting an amount that is equal to the pot.
Big blind – forced bet at holdem with the purpose of creating a minimum pot. Usually, the big blind dictates the minimum betting amount.
Blind – Forced bet at texas holdem posted by the two first players from the left of the dealer.
Board - Community cards, the commune cards at the game table.
Bottom Pair (small pair) – the pair that uses the smallest card from the game table.
Button - dealer, term used in online poker to show the player that plays the role of the dealer.
Buy in – an amount of money that is necessary in order to participate at a poker game. The amount that is paid as a tax for registering at a tournament.
