Super System was the first book that Doyle Brunson wrote and, in 1979 when it was published, he already was the winner of WSOP main event both in 1976 and 1977.
This book was amongst the first books about poker strategies.
Although the initial title of the book was "How I won over $1.000.000 by playing poker", eventually it was published under the title Super/System.
The book includes an autobiography of Doyle Brunson, as well as general poker strategies. The general strategies include the control of the emotion at the game table, studying the opponents, the reasoning when playing poker and so on.
Although almost 50 years passed since its publishing, Super System remains a referential book for poker players, a book that each passionate player should own.
This volume was re-edited in 2004 under the title Super System 2, an improved edition that was realized with the contribution of well known names, such as Daniel Negreanu, Bobby Baldwin, Jennifer Harman, Johnny Chan, etc.
