Mobile poker
Poker has been around on the net for a while now, but it’s only now really starting to take off on mobile platforms. For poker players this is great news, as you can now get to have bit of fun and pit your wits while you’re on the move, not stuck at your desk or in front of a chunky laptop with a bleeping low battery warning. There’s plenty of sites offering poker variations, for a wide range of mobile devices, but, like many mobile casino games, there are a few things to look out for when choosing a new site to sign up at, so here’s a quick look at a couple of the things you might want to check out when selecting a mobile poker site.
Up until recently, mobile video poker was all you were going to get from a lot of sites, but, ‘playing against the machine’ goes against the grain for a lot of players, so they’ll be pleased to hear that multi-player poker is now available on some platforms. Most mobile sites advertise poker, but, before you sign up, make sure that it really is a multi-player game if that is what you are after.
Device compatibility can still be a bit of an issue with some of the sites, although many have realised that mobile is the way forward for gaming. Quite a few have been kicking their software department’s behinds into developing their games to make sure they are available on as many devices as possible. Of course there’s loads of poker downloads available, but there are now more sites offering poker for iPhone, iPads, Androids and other smart phones or tablets. Any site worth its salt will have a list of models compatible with their games, and that is probably the first place to go before looking any further around the site.
Other things you may want to check out are bonus offerings, and more importantly terms and conditions, including wagering requirements. None of this is rocket science, but, it all needs to be considered, and if you find a few mobile casino sites which all look the same ‘on paper’, check out some reviews before making up your mind. Good luck at those mobile tables.
