On May 27 th, The Poker Player Alliance will stage a rally in front of the Washington State Supreme Court. PPA will stage his rally showing his support for Lee Russo, the organisation director.

Lee Russo explain his effort:"Even though the law hasn’t been enforced, I believe there are thousands of players who quit playing when it was passed. I also don’t think you can trust the state not to enforce it forever. Somewhere down the road, they might want to make an example out of somebody".
"The central argument is that Washington State’s statute that bans internet poker is protectionist in nature. It protects in-state businesses from out of state competition. The Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution doesn’t allow that. I think it’s clear that online poker is international commerce, which means that the states can’t regulate it" also said Lee.

According to Pokernewsboy.com, "Under the decision to make the playing of online poker within the area into a Class C felony, the government have theoretically moved to say that the online pass time is as bad as child pornography and the selling of Class A drug, Heroin."
At 10.00 EST, on May 27th , la large number of poker players are expected to descend on Washington.
