Tom Dwan discovered his passion for poker in 2004, when he started to play online. He has only 17 years old. After many online poker competitions, in 2005 Tom Dwan started to play in important live competitions like National Heads-Up Poker Championship or the World Series of Poker.

He is famous because he was the youngest poker player who had the chance to play at the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship. He is also well known in the world of online poker competition, because he won many games and important sums of money this way.

His nickname is “Durrr”, and he used it at important tournaments like GSN’s High Stakes Poker, Full Tilt Poker's Million Dollar Cash Game, National Heads-Up Poker Championship or World Series of Poker. At the fifth edition of GSN’s High Stakes Poker, he played in opposition to Barry Greenstein, and he won $919,600.

He was born in Edison, New Jersey and he dropped out the University from Boston, after his poker success. Due to this sacrifice, he became one of the most famous poker players and also one of the richest too. Even if now he mostly plays live competitions, he states that online competitions were very successful.
